If you love a good mystery, then you must really be loving life! If you have to know how the mystery of life resolves, you may not be having as much fun. And, if you have to try and control all the steps to the outcome of this mystery, it’s even more difficult!
“The bad news is you’re falling through the air, nothing to hang on to, no parachute. The good news is there’s no ground.” A fun quote by Trungpa Rinpoche!
Once a student asked why I believed in energy work and the importance of mastering our thoughts and emotions. “What if it’s all made up?” he asked. It was a wonderful question, because it made me ask, “Why am I doing what I am doing?” It’s great to ask that question often, with everything. Why do I do the work that I do? Why do I eat the foods that I eat? Why do I spend time with the people I choose? Why do I hike or read books? Does the answer you hear resonate with your truth?
My immediate answer was simply, “Life is all being made up. But I do what I do because it feels in alignment to me, and that feels good.” It feels better to me to play in the energy world and know I am an eternal spirit. And, it’s okay that these truths are constantly shifting and evolving as I live life.
Asking ‘why’ has deepened me to a life intention of being a quality of the God that I believe in, no matter what I am doing. I may not always feel happy with every moment of my life, but I know that I am where I need to be. I have an arsenal of spiritual truths, energy techniques and amazing friends to support me on my journey. I choose those support systems based on how they make me feel, and if they mesh with my True North: my ultimate desire to know God through myself, others, and all my experiences.
To enjoy this free falling it’s best not to ask ‘how’ it’s all going to happen, but to ask ‘why’ we do what we do. ‘Why’ establishes an intention, and that intention will ultimately come from your Beingness. Who you are being IS the outcome you will create in your little corner of this transformation. Who are you?
This is for you to discover. But entertain the notion that you are not the body and the 3D world you see out there, rather, you are a Spirit. What is Spirit to you? Spirit isn’t concerned about what you are doing. You can take out the trash and be in alignment with your intention, you can meditate and be in alignment with your intention. You can be ill, walking the dog, angry, reading a book, having sex, eating a sandwich. Who are you being? Just as easily, you can be doing something that seems very spiritual and good, but if you are coming from the wrong intention the vibration will be off.
As you ask ‘why’ about things in your life, you will hear responses in your mind. Your next step is to notice if those responses resonate with your true Beingness. Your mind will usually bounce around to different scenarios, because it is always divided. It has two hemispheres!
I happen to believe in a Creator who is free of judgment, punishment and fear. So, if I am in an ‘asking why’ process, and the mind/ego starts taking me down the fear road, then I know I am being tempted away from my truth. The correct answer is from the heart.
To see a person or scenario from nonjudgment, love and compassion, the heart is the place to reside. Often when we approach the heart space we encounter unresolved emotions. So, energy work is in order to release lies in the mind and emotions that aren’t ours. I can do this myself, or I may get a healing or reading to assist me.
So, we are falling, and there here is nothing to hang on to, and no parachute. If your foundation is built from an intention that meshes with All That Is, and that space for you is of love and oneness, there will be no need to hold on. The good news is, there is no ground. It’s all an illusion! There is no bad outcome, there are no mistakes. There is no goal, there is no conclusion. There was no beginning, at least not that our minds can comprehend! You will always be in the place you are Being right now. What are the beliefs that create your foundation?
Yes, an option is to believe that this is all there is, that nothing really matters. Pollute the earth! Start wars! Who cares? That is the perfect foundation for some people.
I just don’t choose it, because it doesn’t feel good to me. But in relationship to those who life that way, I allow them to be where they are, because I do not fear their difference. People who have to push their beliefs on others are in fear.
None of us need feel alone in this amazing process.
May you feel blessed and supported on your path!
