Section 1 – Content Management
A. Blog Posts
A.1. Create New Posts
- Log into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
- Click ‘+New’ on Top Menu Bar
- Enter Title of Post
- Click on PHC article
- Copy title
- Paste title in WordPress Page
- Choose Categor(ies)
- Create New Category if needed
- Click on ‘Add New Category’
- Enter Category name
- Press ‘Add New Category’ button
- Create New Category if needed
- Set Image (can come back and do this later)
- From laptop
- Expand Feature Image
- Click ‘Set featured image’ in gray box
- Upload file to Media Library (if desired, or is not already in the media library)
- Click ‘Upload Files’ (top left)
- Click ‘Select Files’
- Navigate to photo storage location and select file(s) to uploaded
- Image(s) will be highlighted
- Choose file from Media Library
- Media Library
- Click on desired image in media library
- Click blue ‘Select’ button in lower right cornerstone
- Media Library
- From iPhone
- Log into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin

- Create blog post text
- Click on purple ‘Edit With the Divi Builder’
- Edit the text area
- Copy and paste from PHC website

- Change date of Post (must be published first)
- Select ‘Edit Post’ from top menu
- Change the date
- Press blue ‘Update’ button (top right)
A.2. Make Updates to Blog Posts after Posts have been Created
- From Dashboard
- Select the Blog Post
- Click on ‘All Posts’ on left navigation area
- Scroll to desired post
- Make Changes
- Changes to ‘Category’, ‘Featured Image’, ‘Allow Comments’ or ‘Publish Date’:
- Hover over post name
- Click on ‘Edit’
- Make desired changes
- Click ‘Update’ in upper right of screen
- Blog Post text Content Changes:
- Hover over post name
- Click ‘Edit with Divi’
- Make changes
- Click on ‘Save’ or ‘Save Draft’ or ‘Publish’ (lower right)
- Select ‘Exit Divi Builder’ from top menu
- Changes to ‘Category’, ‘Featured Image’, ‘Allow Comments’ or ‘Publish Date’:
- Select the Blog Post
- While viewing blog Post (while logged into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin)
- Changes to ‘Category’, ‘Featured Image’, ‘Allow Comments’ or ‘Publish Date’:
- Click on ‘Edit Post’ in the Title Menu
- Make changes
- Click on ‘Update’ in top right corner
- Blog Post text Content Changes:
- Click on ‘Enable Visual Builder’ in top menu
- Make changes
- Click on ‘Save’ (lower right)
- Click on ‘Exit Divi Builder’ in top menu
- Changes to ‘Category’, ‘Featured Image’, ‘Allow Comments’ or ‘Publish Date’:
A.3. Oops – Change an old post when I wanted a new post
- Exit without saving changes
B. Changing Prices on Services:
- Log into https://dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
- Edit ‘Services’ page with Divi-Builder
- Click on text section to edit text
- Change the price and description in the normal text.
- Click on ‘Buy Now’ button to change to text.
- Change the price and description within the ‘[w p e c p p ]’ text block
- For example, change
[ w p e c p p name=’60 Minute Session with Hope Hewetson – Dancincg Bird’ price=’1.00′]
to
[ w p e c p p name=’60 Minute Session with Hope Hewetson – Dancincg Bird’ price=’135.00′]
- For example, change
- Click Save at Bottom
C. Zoom Meeting Scheduling and Recording
C.1. Start a Zoom meeting now:
- Click on Zoom icon in lower menu bar
- Click on ‘New Meeting’
- Click ‘Join with Computer Audio’
- Click ‘Click to invite participants’
- Click on ‘Email’
- Click on ‘Gmail’
- Type in email address
- Send the email
C.2. Schedule a Zoom meeting
- Click on Zoom Icon in lower menu bar
- Click on ‘Home’ in top menu bar
- Click on ‘Schedule’ Icon
- Enter Topic: ‘Reading with Hope’
- Select Date and Time
- Click Video on for Host and Participant
- Select ‘Telephone and Computer Audio’
- Click on ‘Schedule’
- Click ‘OK’
- Close Calendar
- Click on ‘Meetings’ in top menu bar
- Click on the meeting just scheduled in the left column
- Click ‘Copy Invitation’
- Go to Gmail
- Command V in body to paste invitation info.
- Enter email address and subject
- Send email
C.3. Start a previously scheduled Zoom meeting
- Click on Zoom Icon in lower menu bar
- Click on ‘Meetings’ in top menu bar
- Click on meeting for today
- Click ‘Start’
- Click ‘Join with Computer Audio’
- Click ‘Start Video’
- Click ‘Record’ when you are ready.
- If the readee can’t find their invite,
- click ‘Invite’
- click ‘Email’
- Click Gmail
- Enter email address
- Send invite to person
- Stop Recording
- End Meeting
- Ignore conversion of recording message
- Change name of audio_only.m4a to the person’s name
- make sure the file ends in ‘.m4a’
C.4. Send a Zoom recording
- Log into Google Drive
- Log into Gmail
- Click on 3×3 grid in upper right
- Click on ‘Drive’
- Click on ‘My Drive’ in body of screen
- Click on ‘Upload files’
- Click on ‘iCloud Drive’
- Click on ‘Documents’
- Click on ‘Zoom’
- Click on YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.ss for the appropriate reading
- Click on the renamed audio file
- Click on ‘Choose’ in the lower right
- Right click (two fingers click) on file that was uploaded
- Click on ‘Share’
- Enter email address
- Click ‘Send’
C.5. Deleting Files in Google Drive
- Log into Google Drive
- Right click on file
- Select ‘Remove’
D. Managing Pages and Menus
D.1. Add a New Page
- Log into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
- On top menu hover over ‘+New’ and select ‘Page’
- Put the page name in the ‘Add Title’ section (if possible use a single word, lower case)
- Click on ‘Use Divi Builder’
- Click on ‘Choose Page’ at the bottom of the ‘Clone Existing Page’ section
- Click on ‘Pages’ under ‘Categories’ in left menu
- Click on ‘sample’
- Update the page
- Add the page to the header menu
D.2. Change Order of Pages in Menu
- Log into https://dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
- On left menu hover over ‘Appearance’ and select ‘Menus’
- Select Header (Primary Menu) or Footer and click on ‘Select’ box.
- Drag pages to desired position
- Click on blue ‘Save Menu’ button
D.3. Remove Page from Menu
- Log into https://dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
- On left menu hover over ‘Appearance’ and select ‘Menus’
- Select Header (Primary Menu) or Footer and click on ‘Select’ box.
- Click on inverted triangle to right of ‘Page’ text
- Click on red ‘Remove’
- Click on blue ‘Save Menu’ button
E. Testimonials
E.1. Adding a Testimonial
- Use Divi Editor to edit Home Page
- Edit Settings on Testimonials module
- Duplicate a testimonial by clicking on the stacked rectangle icon to the right of the settings icon
- Update the duplicate testimonial with the new information
- Click on ‘Save’
E.2. Deleting a Testimonial
- Use Divi Editor to edit Home Page
- Edit Settings on Testimonials module
- Scroll to the testimonial to be delete and click on the Trashcan icon
- Click on ‘Save’

S1. Theme Customization Settings
S1.1. Site Identification
- Left Menu → ‘Appearance’ → ‘Customize’ → ‘General Settings’ → ‘Site Identity’
- Enter Site Name, Dancing Bird’, in ‘SiteTitle’
- Enter ‘Hope Hewetson’ in ‘Tagline’
- Upload 512 x 512 pixel image for browser tab image
- Click on blue ‘Publish’ button near top

- Left Menu → ‘Appearance’ → ‘Customize’ → ‘Header & Navigation’ → ‘Header Elements’
- Check ‘Show Search Icon’

- Left Menu → ‘Divi’ → ‘Theme Options’ →
- Click ‘Layout’ tab on top menu → ‘Single Post Layout’ on top secondary menu
- Click on ‘Author’ / ‘Date’ / ‘Categories’ / ‘Comments’ to enable or disable showing on blog posts (default is all ‘ENABLED’)
- Enable ‘Show comments on posts’ / ‘Place thumbs on posts’ as desired
- Click ‘General Settings’ on top secondary menu
- Click on ‘Author’ / ‘Date’ / ‘Categories’ / ‘Comments’ to enable or disable showing on blog posts (default is all ‘ENABLED’ except for ‘Comments’)
- Enable ‘Show Thumbs on Index Pages’ as desired (default is ‘ENABLED’)
- Click on green ‘Save Changes’ button near top

S2.1. Set Number of Recent Post to Show on Blog Page
- Left Menu → ‘Settings’ → ‘Reading’
- Set number of recent blog posts to display in ‘Blog pages show at most’
- Click on blue ‘Save Changes’ button near bottom
S2.2. Manage Comment Notification and Black Listing
- Left Menu → ‘Settings’ → ‘Discussion’
- Update settings as needed.
- Click on blue ‘Save Changes’ button near bottom
S2.3. Set Picture Size Maximum Dimensions (defaults are OK)
