Section 1 – Content Management

A. Blog Posts

A.1. Create New Posts

  1. Log into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
  2. Click ‘+New’ on Top Menu Bar
  3. Enter Title of Post
    1. Click on PHC article
    2. Copy title
    3. Paste title in WordPress Page
  4. Choose Categor(ies)
    1. Create New Category if needed
      1. Click on ‘Add New Category’
      2. Enter Category name
      3. Press ‘Add New Category’ button
  5. Set Image (can come back and do this later)
    1. From laptop
      1. Expand Feature Image
      2. Click ‘Set featured image’ in gray box
      3. Upload file to Media Library (if desired, or is not already in the media library)
        1. Click ‘Upload Files’ (top left)
        2. Click ‘Select Files’
        3. Navigate to photo storage location and select file(s) to uploaded
        4. Image(s) will be highlighted
      4. Choose file from Media Library
        1. Media Library
          1. Click on desired image in media library
          2. Click blue ‘Select’ button in lower right cornerstone
    2. From iPhone
      1. Log into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
  6. Click ‘Allow Comments’
  7. Create blog post text
    1. Click on purple ‘Edit With the Divi Builder’
    2. Edit the text area
      1. Copy and paste from PHC website
  8. Save Draft’ (if not ready to publish) or ‘Publish’ (as desired)
  9. Change date of Post (must be published first)
    1. Select ‘Edit Post’ from top menu
    2. Change the date
    3. Press blue ‘Update’ button (top right)

A.2. Make Updates to Blog Posts after Posts have been Created

  1. From Dashboard
    1. Select the Blog Post
      1. Click on ‘All Posts’ on left navigation area
      2. Scroll to desired post
    2. Make Changes
      1. Changes to ‘Category’, ‘Featured Image’, ‘Allow Comments’ or ‘Publish Date’:
        1. Hover over post name
        2. Click on ‘Edit’
        3. Make desired changes
        4. Click ‘Update’ in upper right of screen
      2. Blog Post text Content Changes:
        1. Hover over post name
        2. Click ‘Edit with Divi’
        3. Make changes
        4. Click on ‘Save’ or ‘Save Draft’ or ‘Publish’ (lower right)
        5. Select ‘Exit Divi Builder’ from top menu
  2. While viewing blog Post (while logged into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin)
    1. Changes to ‘Category’, ‘Featured Image’, ‘Allow Comments’ or ‘Publish Date’:
      1. Click on ‘Edit Post’ in the Title Menu
      2. Make changes
      3. Click on ‘Update’ in top right corner
    2. Blog Post text Content Changes:
      1. Click on ‘Enable Visual Builder’ in top menu
      2. Make changes
      3. Click on ‘Save’ (lower right)
      4. Click on ‘Exit Divi Builder’ in top menu

A.3. Oops – Change an old post when I wanted a new post

  1. Exit without saving changes

B. Changing Prices on Services:

  1. Log into https://dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
  2. Edit ‘Services’ page with Divi-Builder
  3. Click on text section to edit text
  4. Change the price and description in the normal text.
  5. Click on ‘Buy Now’ button to change to text.
  6. Change the price and description within the ‘[w p e c p p ]’ text block
    1. For example, change
      [ w p e c p p  name=’60 Minute Session with Hope Hewetson – Dancincg Bird’ price=’1.00′]
      to
      [ w p e c p p  name=’60 Minute Session with Hope Hewetson – Dancincg Bird’ price=’135.00′]
  7. Click Save at Bottom

C. Zoom Meeting Scheduling and Recording

C.1. Start a Zoom meeting now:

  1. Click on Zoom icon in lower menu bar
  2. Click on ‘New Meeting’
  3. Click ‘Join with Computer Audio’
  4. Click ‘Click to invite participants’
  5. Click on ‘Email’
  6. Click on ‘Gmail’
  7. Type in email address
  8. Send the email

C.2. Schedule a Zoom meeting

  1. Click on Zoom Icon in lower menu bar
  2. Click on ‘Home’ in top menu bar
  3. Click on ‘Schedule’ Icon
  4. Enter Topic: ‘Reading with Hope’
  5. Select Date and Time
  6. Click Video on for Host and Participant
  7. Select ‘Telephone and Computer Audio’
  8. Click on ‘Schedule’
  9. Click ‘OK’
  10. Close Calendar
  11. Click on ‘Meetings’ in top menu bar
  12. Click on the meeting just scheduled in the left column
  13. Click ‘Copy Invitation’
  14. Go to Gmail
  15. Command V in body to paste invitation info.
  16. Enter email address and subject
  17. Send email

C.3. Start a previously scheduled Zoom meeting

  1. Click on Zoom Icon in lower menu bar
  2. Click on ‘Meetings’ in top menu bar
  3. Click on meeting for today
  4. Click ‘Start’
  5. Click ‘Join with Computer Audio’
  6. Click ‘Start Video’
  7. Click ‘Record’ when you are ready.
  8. If the readee can’t find their invite,
    1. click ‘Invite’
    2. click ‘Email’
    3. Click Gmail
    4. Enter email address
    5. Send invite to person
  9. Stop Recording
  10. End Meeting
  11. Ignore conversion of recording message
  12. Change name of audio_only.m4a to the person’s name
  13. make sure the file ends in ‘.m4a’

C.4. Send a Zoom recording

  1. Log into Google Drive
    1. Log into Gmail
    2. Click on 3x3 grid in upper right
    3. Click on ‘Drive’
  2. Click on ‘My Drive’ in body of screen
  3. Click on ‘Upload files’
  4. Click on ‘iCloud Drive’
  5. Click on ‘Documents’
  6. Click on ‘Zoom’
  7. Click on YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.ss for the appropriate reading
  8. Click on the renamed audio file
  9. Click on ‘Choose’ in the lower right
  10. Right click (two fingers click) on file that was uploaded
  11. Click on ‘Share’
  12. Enter email address
  13. Click ‘Send’

C.5. Deleting Files in Google Drive

  1. Log into Google Drive
  2. Right click on file
  3. Select ‘Remove’

D. Managing Pages and Menus

D.1. Add a New Page

  1. Log into dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
  2. On top menu hover over ‘+New’ and select ‘Page’
  3. Put the page name in the ‘Add Title’ section (if possible use a single word, lower case)
  4. Click on ‘Use Divi Builder’
  5. Click on ‘Choose Page’ at the bottom of the ‘Clone Existing Page’ section
  6. Click on ‘Pages’ under ‘Categories’ in left menu
  7. Click on ‘sample’
  8. Update the page
  9. Add the page to the header menu

D.2. Change Order of Pages in Menu

  1. Log into https://dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
  2. On left menu hover over ‘Appearance’ and select ‘Menus’
  3. Select Header (Primary Menu) or Footer and click on ‘Select’ box.
  4. Drag pages to desired position
  5. Click on blue ‘Save Menu’ button

D.3. Remove Page from Menu

  1. Log into https://dancingbird.biz/wp-admin
  2. On left menu hover over ‘Appearance’ and select ‘Menus’
  3. Select Header (Primary Menu) or Footer and click on ‘Select’ box.
  4. Click on inverted triangle to right of ‘Page’ text
  5. Click on red ‘Remove’
  6. Click on blue ‘Save Menu’ button

E. Testimonials

E.1. Adding a Testimonial

  1. Use Divi Editor to edit Home Page
  2. Edit Settings on Testimonials module
  3. Duplicate a testimonial by clicking on the stacked rectangle icon to the right of the settings icon
  4. Update the duplicate testimonial with the new information
  5. Click on ‘Save’

E.2. Deleting a Testimonial

  1. Use Divi Editor to edit Home Page
  2. Edit Settings on Testimonials module
  3. Scroll to the testimonial to be delete and click on the Trashcan icon
  4. Click on ‘Save’

S2.1. Set Number of Recent Post to Show on Blog Page

  1. Left Menu → ‘Settings’ → ‘Reading’
  2. Set number of recent blog posts to display in ‘Blog pages show at most’

S2.2. Manage Comment Notification and Black Listing
