If you have been at Center recently, in person, you may have noticed that I have not been around for the last few months. At the end of March I decided, with the blessings of my staff, to take some time off for me.
After over 20 years of doing healings, readings and teaching, I wanted time to catch up with myself! So, in practicing what I preach, I tore myself away. It was not easy, as our work can be like our child or pet and we are reluctant to hand it over to someone else. It gave me a chance to release control, and also the gift of untangling my ego from the center. My work is not who I am, I am enough just being me!
I suggest this type of clearing to people often – meditate on something that you think defines you, and release your attachment to it. This is the only way to continue to grow!
Visualize a grounded connection to Mother Earth and release the need to identify yourself as something. It could be the need to identify with your body having to look a certain way, or the need to have to be married or in a relationship, or rich, whatever your career is, or something else. It doesn’t mean you can’t do or have this thing; it is seeing that it is not who you are. You are not dependent on it for happiness. Along with the attachment to the illusion, you also release everyone else’s expectations and control of who you should be, or who you should become, that is sitting in your space around the topic. You release the need to be in competition!
This type of energy purge leaves you with a clean slate to grow and create from, in an entirely new vibration. After you release the energies down your grounding cord, visualize a Golden Sun over your head and fill yourself in with the energy of possibilities and desires for your next step in life. Release the need to have to know what it is and how it will happen. Simply allow permission for Spirit to guide you to your next step, and validate that the foundation you are creating from is based on your value as a Divine Being, not because of what you have or do, or who notices you.
Let the feeling in your heart of love, gratitude and compassion; be the magnet that steers you on in your work and life. In the words of Maya Angelou: “I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.” Enjoy the freedom of experiencing yourself in in the pureness of your being!
They say the sign of a well-run business is that it does great without the director. If that is so, then the center has been very successful! I am fortunate to have such a staff at the center, who not only supported my decision but have the dedication and enthusiasm to continue their work as well as mine and carry on! Thank you staff and students and all who are reading this and may you feel blessed and supported on your path.
